You don't.

You take it to a shop that does alignment.

ya, they will align your front tires with the back ones and strighten out your wheel. should cost you about $35-$45 for a front wheel alignment (including the strightening of your wheel) and about $70 if you need a 4 wheel alignment.

Yeah, Monro Muffler Brake & Service.

From what I remember, he tried telling me the alignment wasn't easy because my wheels were bent (which they are (two of them), not a lot, but a decent amount). I guess I just assumed that's why the steering wheel was misaligned, because they had to compensate for something else.

Oh well, guess I'll have to ask for opinions from my friends for alignment shops.

There is no reason why a competant alignment shop can't do a "wheel to wheel" alighment and get the steering wheel pointed straight when the wheels are. Somebody is telling you a story.

Yeah, they had to compensate for their incompetence....

Can't hurt to take it back there and make a stink to get the wheel centered. But yeah, don't go back there again.

That's a very demeaning and insulting statement. You owe an apology to monkeys everywhere.
