Default knocking sound from suspension..

Has anyone ever had any problems with strut mounts on a 94 sc clunking at low speeds?....sounds like the mount is non existant..but only at low speeds // 25-40km/h and on a bumpy road (bad parking lot)

any ideas????

Yes I have the same thing I told me local Saturn dealership to check my motor mounts, it happens to be that the mounts are a little weak You can get an upgread, to motor mounts from SaturnMotorSports.com for $137 Buy the way did you know that when you get up to 5mph the anti lock breaks make a little noise, but if that is not it then it's your mounts.

If the Twistec group buy is going on, you can get the same mounts for $85. Good deal. http://www.xtremesaturn.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=13387

take a look at the engine and transaxle mounts. the torque axis mount. also check the strut bearings. and the lower control arm bushings.

S-series will exhibit a rattle/clunk noise from the front struts, that is most noticable at parking lot speeds, this is quite common, and not much to worry about, unfortunately, the only cure is to replace the front struts (if the noise is indeed coming from the front)

thank you all for your responses.... as from what i noticed the other week, the upper engine mount was TOAST!!! so ever since i replaced that, it has been 100% better, but still not good enough.

willl prob put on KYB struts, and then lower. hopefully everything will be good and ready by then.

thanks again.!!
