2006 ION-3 Quad Coupe
Default Bye bye Ion...sort of.

Well, I finally gave up y Ion...sort of. It was getting old, and not wanting to part with it, I spent roughly $7000 over 3 years getting it back to snuff. A couple of bumps along the way...as in trans fluid lines went and it ended up another $4000....pissed me off because I specifically asked the mechanic if there is anything that may need done in the near future and of course he said no.

Be that is it may, I just have to put another bearing on for the 2nd time in about 5 or 6 years, so I guess that is ok. The other bearing was done by me last year, so this is the 2nd time for this bearing.

The tranny synchros are going(2nd to 34rd), so that means another tranny soon. I am ok with that for now.

I sold the car to my step son for $2800 after all the work so, even though the car isn't worth that much black book, it is because of the work spent:

New battery
New altenator
New air
New clutch assembly and various components link linkages
New brakes front and rear.
Resealed the engine.

Thank God, this engine is bullet proof, because if it goes, the car goes.

If Jojo no longer wants the car, it comes back to me. We need to get the hood painted or replaced. I have a painter and he is good and cheap. the cost of painting is about the same as a hood, so painting first.

We will see how it goes....

REWARD EXCELLENCE!
