I took the hand brake assembly out. A plastic piece broke. Imagine that. I'll have to drill out some rivots to get to the mechanicals and see what I can fabricate. The plastic fatigues with age so a junkyard part would likely do the same.

Thanks for pointing that out to me. I will be more cautious in the future.
