maybe your Vue is a different year than mine, and maybe the L series cars have more room, but a rachet head 3/8" drive was not even close to fitting between the metal plate and the tensioner.

There is no reason to remove the engine mounts, you literally reach up with the short pipe and PUSH the tensioner up as I described from the bottom. It takes about 3 seconds to push it up.

Its not hard as long as you hook the end into the nipple on the pulley end of the tensioner.
