Its been great!

Well, after having a Vue in our household since October of 2007 we now have none in our driveway as of yesterday. I managed to get exactly the kind of deal I wanted in trade for my '06 AWD V6.

Re: What maintenance to be done with a new to me Vue

There is a recall by GM on the shudder issue. Before cracking things open yourself, I would go down to a GM dealership and have them look up the recall. You will get a reprogram to help the issue...

Re: Are we snobs???

As a guy that owns a Mustang in the summer, I can honestly say I never think of the "brotherhood" element of driving a car like someone else. I'm part of online forums and part of the local Mustang...

Re: Saturn wants to charge me $250 to change spark plugs

3.5L V6 Vues have timing belts and need to be changed at 100,000 miles/160,000 kms.

But you guys are also responding to a post from 2010 when Saturns were still technically being sold, so guessing...

Re: Would you buy a used Vue today?

Yep definitely change the fluids, most importantly the transmission fluid, engine oil and coolant (in that order of importance). If the transmission fluid has never been changed, it needs to be done...

Re: 2007 vue

Yep, all too common. I have it on my 2006. I got a quote from a local GM dealership and they wanted $1,100 but gave me a "discount" to bring it down to $950. Plus, they wouldn't even warranty the...

Re: Would you buy a used Vue today?

The 2.2L is used in tons and tons of GM products, so I wouldn't worry about parts there either. The biggest complaint I hear about the 2.2L is the lack of power. If you are cool with that, there...

Painting interior trim pieces?

After owning my Vue for almost 4 years, the fake wood inserts by the center radio bezel and door handles are starting to drive me crazy. I know for sure that the '06/'07 Red Lines did not have those...

Re: Would you buy a used Vue today?

Never see a used (or new really for that matter) car purchase as an investment. Remember that a lot of the backbone of the Saturn Vue's have commonalities with other GM products and the drive train...

Re: Intake Resonator Removed and Rearward Muffler Exhaust video

Love it man! Now I'm considering it for my ride as well. I think I'd take the opportunity to get duel exhaust outlets done at the same time.

Thanks for sharing!

Re: Would you buy a used Vue today?

Yes, with a couple of caveats.

From my experience, the Vue with the 3.5L Honda V6 is a very reliable vehicle. Yes, there are a few weak spots but every vehicle has them. The ones on the Vues can...

Re: RL springs?

I imagine you could get RL springs from a GM dealer for a small fortune. Alternatively, some of the guys who have went to the Megan Lowering Springs on their Red Line may be interested in selling...

Re: 03 Vue AWD v6 3.0L in Limp Mode

One thing I would advise, if they insist it is transmission related and you believe it to be true, is do a complete flush and transmission fluid replacement. Depending on your miles that could help...

Re: 03 Vue AWD v6 3.0L in Limp Mode

I would be very careful accepting that the repair is related to the transmission. Limp mode doesn't really have anything to do with the transmission, the transmission code is turned on as a result...

Re: Pictures of lowered Vue with roof rails???

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of them either as I'm not likely to ever buy the crossbars to carry anything on the roof. While I don't think they look as bad as what you are stating, I would prefer...

Re: Is My Vue Abnormally Slow??

Unfortunately your combination of engine/transmission are the worst in the Vue body. The addition of the AC will affect the engine output, fairly significantly, depending on grade you are climbing. ...

Re: PCM Update 2005 2006 2007 Vue 3.5 - Transmission Issues Resolved

This has been out for a long time. Unfortunately some members who had it done did not end up fixing their issue, only holding it off for a while longer. It looks like frequent fluid changes is...

Re: Goodbye Vue :( But not Goodbye Saturnfans!

Congrats on the new wheels. I think we will see more and more of the old guard moving on with their Vue's over the next couple of years. Glad you will still be around though.

I've been thinking of doing the same and buying one to pair with my phone. I don't believe the obd port is powered with the truck off so you should be fine.

Re: Steering

Welcome aboard Vince. The only way might be to swap out steering from a Redline which has a bit better steering. It would be costly though and not worth it.

Re: Pictures of lowered Vue with roof rails???

Yep mine has the silver/chrome roof rails that run on the top sides. Doesn't seem to be many on here that have them and have lowered their truck.

Pictures of lowered Vue with roof rails???

Hey guys,

I've decided to buy a set of Megan Racing springs for my 2006 Vue. The soft suspension is driving me crazy lately. I've seen a few pictures from members who have installed them on...
