Re: Car Cleavage Questions

Yeah, bumpers are cheap, there's probably 4 sitting in my favourite junkyard right now that I could get for $50, but paint isn't... and I don't have the equiptment to do it myself. It would cost...

Car Cleavage Questions

Due to an unfortunate incident involving an extremely high curb, I'm in the market for a car bra until I can afford to repaint the lower half of my front bumper. I've seen some that looked good, and...

Re: Is there rust hiding under that plastic?

I took my door panels off a few months ago, and I live in Iowa: Road salt/rust capital of the world IMHO. Anyhoo, there was no rust at all. When I bought the car a year&1/2 ago, I repainted the front...

Re: Possibly Purchasing 1995 SL2 w/140k - What problem should I look for?

If he says it doesn't burn oil, he either doesn't know, or he's lying to you. I'd be wary, but yeah, don't let that car get away!
In the condition you say it's in, $2000 is about right. Mine I payed...

Re: Possibly Purchasing 1995 SL2 w/140k - What problem should I look for?

#1: visible rust would be almost impossible to detect without looking under the car or inside the body panels...because the body panels are plastic as you probably know and it is chemically...

Re: Stereo help

If the stereo says its 160 watts, it actually will be sending 40 to each speaker. You can get some good 120 watt Dual speakers at best buy for about $50 a pair, not the greatest quality--but better...

Re: New Mod: Cupholder LED's

Yeah, led's are fun to mess with. I also reid my dome light and soon am building some leds into the C pillar interior trim. saturns are very easy cars to do lighting mods to.

Re: LED Mod help

YOU ARE SENDING TO MUCH POWER TO THE LED.
It's burning it out, eh. I'm suprised it works at all, now, actually, but you need to add a resistor. I suggest you go to www.oznium.com, buy some LED's...

Re: Just bought '98 SL1, Need Advice.

800? That's pretty good. Mine idles between 1000-1300 depending on the weather.

If the wall of your tire is starting to crack, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you buy 4 new tires. They're probably bald,...

Re: Just bought '98 SL1, Need Advice.

One of two things could be the case, the plug underneath the driver's seat, which connects the seatbelt to the computer, might not be plugged in, or it got cut/frayed, etc. Or the problem might just...

Re: Just bought '98 SL1, Need Advice.

Sounds like a great deal, even if it is just an SL. That's about the price it would go for around here. I think you'll get better gas mileage on the SL than the SL1, or so I remember.

My first car...

Re: 95 SL1 intermittent noise

For a long time in my SL2 there was this weird clicking noise, coming from the direction of the engine, which worried me, but then I realized it was just my keys hitting the dash. That has nothing to...

Flexible Fuel Conversion

This is just an idea, I'm not planning on doing it, but I thought I might throw the subject out there for people that might, or myself in the future.

Re: Keep 2000 SC2 or jump to 2002 SC2?

I say keep your 2000, if you really want leather, check out KatzKin. They have custom made leather covers to replace the apolstry on your seats and its easy to install. 10,000 seems high to me. I see...

Re: 1995 SL1 rear ended

Hon, that damage doesn't look all that bad. Assuming it's JUST the body damage, I could pick up the parts to fix it in under $500....then have a body shop paint the pieces for about $500 + cost and...
